As reported by Saudi Press Agency (SPA), a young Saudi girl has broken Guinness World Records by becoming the world's youngest woman to publish a book series (Treasure of the Lost Sea, Portal of the Hidden World, and Beyond the Future World).
At the time of her record verification, Ritaj Hussain Al Hazmi was 12 years 295 days old.
Through her online store and other online portals, Ritaj writes fiction stories for children in order to help them develop their creativity and imagination.
"When I was six years old, I started writing while studying abroad with my family," she said.
Ritaj began visiting Saudi Arabian libraries when she was seven years old and eventually began writing short stories.
In 2019, she published her first novel, Treasure of the Lost Sea, written in English. In November 2020, she published her second book, Portal of the Hidden World.
She was awarded the title of youngest woman to publish a book series (female) after her second book was published.
Beyond the Future World was Ritaj's third novel.
Treasure of the Lost Sea depicts two siblings living on a deserted island with a poor family. Throughout their lives, they have faced challenges, endured hardships, and persevered. When something unexpected happens, their lives take on a new direction, and they become heroes in a new world.
A 14-year-old Saudi Arabian born in Dhahran, Ritaj speaks Arabic and English and is now learning Japanese.
