Almost all parts of Saudi Arabia and the Gulf will experience a cold wave with a significant drop in temperature, accompanied by rain, according to the National Center of Meteorology.
Starting from Tuesday until Friday, most regions of Saudi Arabia will experience a drop in temperatures, but the northern border and parts of Tabuk, Hail, and Al-Jouf will experience significant drops in temperatures of -3 degrees Celsius.
There will be a decrease in temperatures in parts of Al-Qassim, Al-Sharqia, and Riyadh regions, where minimum temperatures will reach 4 degrees Celsius.
Meteorological center stated that beginning Tuesday, dust and dusty surface winds will be active in the regions of Makkah, Tabuk, Madina, Al-Jouf, Hail, Northern Borders and Al-Qassim. It will have a greater impact on Eastern region and Riyadh on Wednesday and Thursday.
On the heights in Jazan, Asir, Al Baha as well as northern parts of the Eastern province, there are a number of thunder clouds accompanied by active winds.
Rain is expected to fall in north Riyadh, Sharqiah, east of Al-Baha and Asir accompanied by dusty winds of varying speeds. Astrologically, the winter season will end in the Kingdom by 21st March.
As a result of dust storms, visibility could be affected, and the wind speed could exceed 50 km/h. Its impact will extend to Makkah, Najran, eastern Asir, and Al-Baha on Thursday and Friday.
