Saudi Arabia Reintroduces PCR Test Requirement For Fully Vaccinated Arrivals
Category: Saudi Arabia

Saudi Arabia's General Authority of Civil Aviation (GACA) has issued a circular to airlines amending travel procedures to and from the country.

According to what appears in the Tawakkalna application, it must be assured that residents travelling outside the Kingdom have received the booster dosage of the Corona vaccination, with the exception of those who are under 16 years of age or the exempted categories.

- Within 48 hours of their arrival in the Kingdom, all visitors, including Saudi nationals, must present a negative authorized PCR test certificate.

- However, there will be an exemption for children under the age of eight, in accordance with the legislation of the countries of origin regarding virus analysis processes for minors.

- After 7 days have elapsed from the day of collecting the positive sample for individuals who completed getting the permitted vaccination doses in the Kingdom, a Saudi citizen whose results reveal that he is infected with the Covid-19 is allowed to enter the Kingdom.

- Those Saudi citizens who did not finish the dosages can enter the Kingdom after 10 days from the date of taking the positive sample without having to re-test.

-The proceedings will commence at 1 a.m. on Wednesday, February 9th, 2022, according to the GACA.
