From next June 2022, NEOM Bay Airport (NUM) will offer weekly services to international destinations, marking the start of commercial operations.
The sustainable regional development organization NEOM and Saudia, the country's flag carrier, have formed a strategic partnership to begin weekly flights.
From NEOM, Saudia will operate direct flights to select regional and international destinations. Air Arabia plans to begin weekly flights to Dubai International Airport by the end of June 2022, with plans to expand to London shortly thereafter. To showcase the NEOM brand to the world, aircraft traveling to the selected destinations will be liveried with a NEOM-Saudia livery.
As SAUDIA's Director General Ibrahim Al-Omar noted: "This partnership supports Saudi Vision 2030 by increasing passenger traffic domestically and regionally, as well as expanding our connections to global cities.
As NEOM continues to develop, the demand for travel there only grows, making it a natural addition to our list of destinations."
NEOM's Chief Executive Officer, Nadhmi Al-Nasr, said: "NEOM Bay Airport is a key enabler of NEOM's development, enabling efficient access to NEOM for residents and business partners, and improving the ease with which NEOM can connect with people throughout the world."
