Working hours of Saudi Central Bank branches, offices and transfer centers affiliated with Kingdom banks have been announced for the holy month Ramadan, and the authority has also announced Islamic holidays for Eid al-Fitr and Eid al-Adha in 2022 ( 1443 AH).
Working hours for Banks during Ramadan :
Saudi Central Bank confirmed that the working hours of banks during the working days of Ramadan month will be 6 hours, from 10 AM in the morning until 4 PM in the evening.
Working hours for Remittance centers during Ramadan :
During the holy month of Ramadan, the bank's financial transfer centers will operate with flexible 6 working hours. Beginning at 9.30 in the morning and ending at 5.30 in the evening.
Holidays for Banks and Remittance centers for Eid Al-Fitr and Eid Al-Adha :
Starting from the end of work on Thursday, 28th April 2022 (27th Ramadan 1443) until the 8th May 2022 (7th Shawwal 1443), the Saudi Central Bank announces Eid Al-Fitr holidays.
Banks and remittance centers will be closed for Eid Al-Adha beginning Wednesday, 6th July 2022 (7th Dhu Al-Hijjah) and reopening on Wednesday, 13th July 2022 (14th Dhu Al-Hijjah).
For pilgrims and visitors, the offices of Banks and their seasonal branches in Hajjah Air and Sea, Makkah and Madina, and at the border crossings will be open continuously throughout the Hajj season, including Friday and Saturday.
- The circular also stipulated that banks must open a certain number of their branches, in addition to a number of money transfer centers in crowded and populated places, as well as at airports and various border crossings, to work during certain holiday periods.
According to the Central Bank of Saudi Arabia, these instructions are based on Article 16 of the Banking Control Law concerning setting bank holidays and working hours.
