congratulates Muslim World

Likewise, the Secretary General congratulated the Kings, Presidents, and Emirs of the OIC Member States. He also congratulated the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, led by the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques King Salman and Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman.

He noted that the decline of the COVID-19 pandemic and the relaxation of precautionary measures across many countries of the world have made these Eid celebrations rather unique. The prophet prayed to Allah to rid the world of this pandemic and restore peace and health to all.

After concluding his remarks, the Secretary General expressed the hope that peace, blessings, security, safety and prosperity would prevail in all OIC and non-OIC member states, and that hatred, violence, extremism and terrorism would be eradicated.

Furthermore, he hoped that the occasion would be an opportunity for self-reflection and the continuation of serious collective action in order to resolve the challenges facing the entire Islamic community.
