The Saudi Supreme Court called for a full investigation into the sighting of the crescent of the blessed month of Ramadan on Friday (1st April 2022), 29th Shaban 1443 as per the Umm Al-Qura calendar, and for those who saw it naked eye or through binoculars to inform the nearest court.
The Supreme Court asks those who see the crescent of the blessed month with their naked eye or through a telescope to record their testimony with it, or contact the nearest center to help them reach the nearest court.
The Court hopes that those with the ability to be involved will join the committees formed in the various regions for this purpose and calculate their rewards for participating as a result of cooperation in righteousness and piety and for the benefit of all Muslims.
Should the crescent be sighted on Friday evening (1st April 2022), then Saturday (2nd April) will be the first day of Holy Ramadan and it will continue until the 29th or 30th day, depending on the sighting of the crescent. Muslims worldwide begin fasting during this month from dawn to dusk.
