Saudi Airlines CEO Ibrahim Koshy announced that the company has signed agreements to equip its aircrafts with new entertainment and communication systems, which allows passengers on board to enjoy Netflix services and communication programs such as Zoom.
Ibrahim Koshy told Al-Arabiya that these are just a few of many major changes coming to its flights. Saudi Airlines launched the BEYOND program yesterday for its new in-flight entertainment system.
As part of the new In-Flight Entertainment (IFE) system, Saudi Airlines will offer more than 5,000 hours of IID content including Eastern and Western films and TV shows, as well as e-books, weather reports, shopping, meal ordering, flight information and agenda timeline.
In addition to the largest Islamic content in the skies, the Beyond program includes a distinctive Kid mode where young guests can enjoy cartoons, movies, and games.
A range of other features are included in the program, including a real-time view of the sky during takeoff and landing from cameras. From the comfort of their seats, passengers can also shop and browse the latest products.
The new IFE system will further enhance the onboard experience of Saudi Airlines, according to Essam Akhonbay, Vice President of Saudi Airlines. Saudia's CEO stated we have received many awards in the past period for the size of our aircraft and lounges.
