Saudi Arabia's National Center of Meteorology (NCM) has warned that there is a possibility of a dust storm in several regions of the country on Monday.
Winds of up to 55 km/h were expected to affect the northern border regions of Al-Jouf and Hail on Sunday, according to the NCM.
In addition, Qassim, Riyadh, and the Eastern Province regions may be affected by the winds that hit the Kingdom on Sunday.
Tabuk, Makkah, and Madinah are likely to be affected by raised dust and high waves, the NCM warned, noting the importance of following up on weather information and the instructions of the concerned authorities for precautions and avoiding danger.
According to the Kuwait Meteorological Department, May has become one of the highest months of the year in terms of dust storms, with 30 of them in 25 years.
On its part, the Iraqi Ministry of Transport has announced that it will suspend flights at all airports in the country on Monday because of poor visibility caused by dust storms.
