Motorists Passing School Buses Parked To Pick Up Or Drop Off Children Can Be Fined Up To SR6,000
Category: Saudi Arabia

Local media reported that the Saudi General Directorate of Traffic (Muroor) warned motorists against passing school buses stopping to pick up and drop off children.

Violations will be fined between SR3,000 and SR6,000, according to the Traffic Directorate.

The directorate stressed the importance of adhering to traffic instructions when transporting students at the beginning of the second school semester.

To ensure their safety and reduce their chances of accidents, children need to be guided on how to get off the vehicle from the right side.

Students are encouraged not to approach moving vehicles once they reach schools and not to cross the street until vehicles completely stop allowing them to pass.
