The Ministry of Health in Saudi Arabia sent an internal circular to its employees that included linking the disbursement of the excellence allowance and job performance assessment to taking the 3rd booster dose of the Coronavirus vaccine.
In the circular, the Ministry said, “In addition to the Undersecretary for Human Resources circular, which includes the appropriate controls, conditions and arrangements for approving requests for the payment of the excellence allowance for the fiscal year 2019, and the excellence allowance for the fiscal year 2020, and given the importance of all health practitioners receiving the third (booster) dose of the corona vaccine in order to maintain immunity.
- Accordingly, no requests will be accepted for the payment of the Excellence Allowance for the fiscal year 2019, and the Excellence Allowance for the fiscal year 2020 for those who have not received the third dose of the Corona vaccine after 6 months have passed from receiving the second dose.
- The ministry also called on other health practitioners to take the third dose, saying, “Our dear colleagues, in the interest of your safety, and as an extension of the preventive measures against the Corona virus (Covid-19), we urge you to take the initiative to take the third booster dose of the vaccine, knowing that the speedy implementation of the above will be done, take it into account during job performance evaluation.
