The Ministry of Municipal and Rural Affairs and Housing in Saudi Arabia announced the most important municipal requirements for the activity of gas stations and spare parts stores in the Kingdom.
The ministry specified the necessity to follow to the architectural, construction, electrical, sanitary, mechanical and security specifications.
- The Ministry of Municipal Affairs also stipulated that the requirements of people with special needs be taken into account in the design of the station and rest facilities
- Providing of two toilets, one for men and another for women with a source of drinking water, in addition to providing two prayer rooms one for women and another for men.
- The Ministry highlighted the importance of general hygiene in all station facilities, securing containers for collecting waste, and sticking to safety and fire prevention conditions.
The ministry confirmed training of workers to face potential accidents.

- Earlier this, The Ministry of Municipal and Rural Affairs and Housing has renewed the recall of the most important municipal requirements for the spare parts activity, including the following.
* Providing suitable shelves for displaying goods, and preventing them from being placed on the floor or on the top of the accounting table.
* The width of the corridors and paths between the shelves shall not be less than 70 cm, in order to ensure the ease of movement of workers, and to maintain their safety.
* All products must be labeled.
* Floors must be non-slippery.
- The Ministry of Municipal Affairs added that the categories related to the activity include, owners of commercial activities for spare parts stores, workers in these activities, and beneficiaries.
