In Saudi Arabia, the General Directorate of Traffic (Moroor) confirmed that passengers who sit in places not designated for them in the vehicle endanger their safety.
According to Saudi Moroor, sitting in places in the vehicle that are not designated for passengers is considered a traffic violation.
To improve smooth traffic flow and reduce the number of accidents between vehicles, the Traffic Department highlighted earlier this month the importance of observing and obeying the right of the road.
Saudi Moroor, via its official Twitter account, provided five important instructions that drivers and vehicle owners must follow in order to achieve traffic safety. They are as follows:
1. Adhere to the lanes of the road
2. Used indicators before turning
3. Avoid dumping waste
4. Give way to overtaking vehicles
5. Compliance with traffic preferences
