During the Hajj and Umrah season in Saudi Arabia, the Ministry of Hajj and Umrah issued 50,000 riyal fines to 10 companies for their failure and breach of duties and obligations provided to Umrah pilgrims, specifically violations related to housing and transportation.
The Ministry of Hajj has confirmed that it will not tolerate any failure to provide the pilgrims with service and will continue to monitor torus on all service sites to protect pilgrims' rights.
As part of an effort to improve the quality and standard of services provided to pilgrims and to preserve their safety, the Ministry will take all legal measures to hold defaulters accountable and respond to complaints.
In addition, members of the Ministry of Hajj and Umrah advised all pilgrims from within and outside the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia wishing to perform the rituals of Umrah to deal only with facilities licensed by the competent authorities to organize trips and to select accommodations and means of transportation by the relevant authorities so that their rights were protected and that the service was provided.
