The General Transport Authority (GTA) has announced the start of the second phase of the automated monitoring initiative for taxi offences, in collaboration with the Advanced Traffic Safety Project.
The government underlined that the automated system's second phase will be deployed in all Saudi Arabian areas beginning March 13.
Holders of an expired operating card, failing to get a driver's card or a vehicle operating card, and performing work activity with an expired operating card are among the infractions that will be scrutinized in the second phase, according to the GTA.
It's worth noting that the project was chosen because of its contribution to improving traffic safety in the Kingdom, assuring the implementation of vehicle technical standards, and maintaining the regularity of the transport sector's operating vehicles.
