Five-year Jail Term, Half A Million Fine For Stealing Airline Passengers' Belongings

Saudi Arabia's Public Prosecution has warned anyone against stealing property from aircraft or the belongings of air passengers.
According to Article 154 of Saudi Arabia's Civil Aviation Law, attempting to steal property in an aircraft or the belongings of passengers traveling on board is considered one of the major crimes punishable by arrest and accountability.
A person who attempts to commit an illegal act stipulated in Article 154 is punished under Article 167 of the Civil Aviation Law by imprisonment for a period not exceeding five years, a fine not exceeding SR500,000, or both penalties together.
