The Minister of Islamic Affairs, Call and Guidance, Sheikh Abdullatif Al-Sheikh, has directed all branches of the ministry across Saudi Arabia to conduct the Eid Al-Fitr prayer in designated Eid prayer grounds 15 minutes after sunrise.

Eid Prayer Arrangements Across the Kingdom

The minister emphasized that Eid prayers will also be held in all mosques, except for:

• Mosques adjacent to designated Eid prayer grounds.

• Mosques in villages and towns where residents typically use their local Eid prayer grounds.

Preparation for Eid Prayer Grounds and Mosques

To ensure a smooth and spiritually uplifting experience, the ministry has instructed all branches to:

• Prepare prayer areas with proper maintenance, cleanliness, and operation.

• Ensure mosques and prayer grounds are ready before the Eid prayer.

• Facilitate a tranquil and comfortable environment for worshippers.

Number of Mosques and Prayer Grounds in Saudi Arabia

Currently, the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia has 19,887 mosques and designated Eid prayer grounds, all of which have been:

• Carpeted and well-maintained.

• Cleaned to meet the highest quality standards.

• Equipped to provide an optimal prayer experience.
