Commercial Shrimp Harvesting Start In Kingdom

The Ministry of Environment, Water and Agriculture announced the opening of the six-month shrimping season, which will start on Thursday, August 1, 2019, and run until January 31, 2020.
Fisheries director Khalid Al Shayea announced that the ban on shrimping would be re-imposed on February 1, 2020.
He warned that violators flouting the ban on shrimping would face jail and a fine up to SR10,000.
