Saudi Data and Artificial Intelligence Authority (SDAIA) has urged everyone (Saudi citizens and residents) in the Kingdom to remain vigilant and not to respond to any type of communication aimed at collecting personal information and passwords.

According to the SDAIA, this could result in individuals' data being stolen, causing them harm. The SDAIA urged individuals to take precautions and to avoid responding to such communications that aim to get them to reveal their personal information.

Over the past few days, the Authority has been monitoring a number of cases in which citizens and residents have been victims of data theft. The victims were victimized by corrupted individuals, some of whom claimed to be affiliated with the National Information Center and asked them to update their bank information.

Citizens and residents of Saudi Arabia were contacted by individuals claiming to be affiliated with the National Information Center in order to update bank data.

In reality, the National Information Center does not contact beneficiaries, SDAIA calls on the public to maintain the confidentiality of their personal data and adhere to relevant regulations and policies issued by the National Data Administration office at the authority, reports Saudi Press Agency (SPA).
