A Yemeni Resident Was Arrested After Making Claims About A New Scheme To Correct Expat Status

After claiming to have a new scheme to correct the status of some expatriates, a Yemeni national was arrested.
According to the Makkah region police spokesman, the investigation by security forces led to identification of a person who spoke inside a banquet hall in Jeddah in front of an audience gathered at his invitation in a video clip.
In his speech, the man, who identified himself as a Yemeni resident, announced a new scheme to correct the status of expatriates in the Kingdom. During the investigation, it turned out that his claims were not based on official documents.
A spokesman for the company said legal action was taken against the man after his arrest, and he was referred to the Public Prosecution.
