- He pointed out that "the number of cases of malaria may double in sub-Saharan Africa, This should not happen. We are working with countries to support it."
- The director of the World Health Organization considered that "the world had to listen" to the organization that warned of the new Corona virus since the end of January, stressing that the world health authorities cannot force countries to implement their recommendations.
- He continued, "The world had to listen attentively to the World Health Organization, because the global emergency was declared on January 30th," with 82 cases of the virus recorded outside China but no death count.
