On Monday, the Saudi Press Agency reported that the Ministry of Interior lifted most of the restrictions related to Coronavirus such as masks and health status information on Tawakkalna applications.
Facemasks are usually not required to be worn indoor places according to the ministry order.
In Makkah and Madinah, masks are required only for entry into the Grand Masjid and Prophet's Masjid, and at those places where public health protocols have been issued (Weqaya).
Also, it is required for places, activities, events, and modes of public transportation that wish to continue protecting users with masks on entry. To raise awareness about facemask use, the ministry has called for continued enlightenment.
Weqaya stated on its website that vaccination and health verification will not be required for entry into facilities, events, and activities, or for traveling on public transport vehicles, except for those whose nature requires immunization or whose nature requires continuing verification to meet general health standards.
Those wishing to increase protection by requiring greater immunization requirements may also be required to obtain a Tawakkalna health status verification at entry to facilities, activities, occasions, events, and means of public transportation.
