Visit Visa Holders Barred From Entering Makkah During Hajj Season
Category: Visit Visa

From May 23, 2024, to June 21, 2024, all visitors holding visit visas will be restricted from entering Makkah in preparation for the upcoming Hajj season, the Saudi Ministry of Interior announced.

The Ministry clarified that a visit visa or Umrah visa does not grant permission to perform Hajj. Visitors in Saudi Arabia on visit visas should avoid entering or staying in Makkah during this period to prevent fines under Saudi laws.

Hajj Permit Requirement: Only individuals with a valid Hajj visa or permit can participate in the Hajj rituals. Attempting to perform Hajj without the proper documentation can result in being barred from future Hajj seasons.

Legal Violations: Transporting or providing shelter to individuals violating Hajj regulations is considered a legal offense and will be enforced accordingly.

Organizational and Security Measures: These steps are part of broader efforts to ensure that permitted pilgrims can perform their religious rituals safely and without disruptions.
