The Ministry of Hajj and Umrah in Saudi Arabia has clarified that tourist visa holders are not allowed to perform Hajj or Umrah during the Hajj season.

The 90-day tourist visa only permits its holders to perform Umrah, but not during the Hajj season.

The ministry has urged tourists and visitors to follow the regulations and leave the Kingdom once their visit visa has expired.

Additionally, Saudi Arabia has announced a ban on individuals and vehicles from entering Mecca without an entry permit, in an effort to regulate the upcoming Hajj pilgrimage season.
