Saudi Public Security announced Thursday (25/10/1443) that residents without entry permits will be denied access to the Holy Capital Makkah starting from Thursday (25/10/1443).

Brigadier General Sami bin Mohammad Al-Shuwairekh, Public Security spokeswoman, said that, this is in compliance with the instructions governing Hajj pilgrimage, which stipulates that anyone wishing to enter the Holy Capital Makkah must obtain a permit from relevant authorities.

Al-Shuwairekh explained that the instructions regulating the Hajj this year 1443 will apply to returning vehicles and residents where they came from, except for those who have one of the following documents.

* An entry permit is issued by the competent authority for the purpose of working in the holy sites.

* Iqama (resident identity card) issued in Makkah.

* An Umrah permit and

* A Hajj permit. 

Until the end of the Hajj Season 1443, this will remain in effect.
