The system for canceling the sponsor came into effect in Saudi Arabia, starting today, Sunday, as part of the initiative to improve the contractual relationship and develop the work environment, according to "Al Arabiya" website.

Last November, the Ministry of Human Resources and Social Development launched the initiative to improve the contractual relationship, which is one of the initiatives of the National Transformation Program that aims to support the Ministry's vision of building an attractive job market, and empowering and developing human competencies.

The initiative provides a job mobility service, which allows a migrant worker to transfer to another job upon the expiry of his work contract without the need for the employer's approval.

The initiative also defines the transition mechanisms during the validity of the contract, provided that the notice period and the specified controls are adhered to.

It also provides an exit and return service, which allows a migrant worker to travel outside Saudi Arabia, upon submitting the application, with an online notification to the employer.

The final exit service enables a migrant worker to leave, immediately after the end of the contract, with an electronic notification of the employer without requiring his consent.

The initiative provides 3 services for expatriate workers, which are job mobility, final exit, exit and return, and it relates to existing and expired contracts, and exceptional cases that do not have contracts or who do not receive their salaries.
