According to local media, more than 100 university faculty members have been issued warning letters for failing to monitor public examinations.
Dr. Yousuf Asiri, president of Taif University, has ordered the faculty to receive warning notices for their failure to attend or late arrival for the invigilation of public exams.
The university president was notified of this invigilators' neglect of duty by the relevant colleges.
According to the rules governing faculty affairs, certain professors' failure to perform their duties during final test time is regarded as a violation of Article 38, paragraph 4.
Under the rule, faculty members are required to actively participate in their department's work, as well as in any other councils or committees they are a member of. Inept teachers were warned not to repeat the offense by the university.
In accordance with the rules regulating faculty members' affairs, appropriate disciplinary action will be taken against the lecturers.
