Saudi Arabia’s 2025 Hajj was hailed as the best in the past 50 years, achieving a remarkable 91% pilgrim satisfaction rate, according to the Ministry of Hajj and Umrah during the fifth Hajj Conference and Exhibition in Jeddah.

Conference Overview and Attendance

The fifth Hajj Conference and Exhibition opened at Jeddah Superdome under the patronage of King Salman, organized by the Ministry of Hajj and Umrah together with the Pilgrim Experience Program, a key initiative under Vision 2030. The event runs through November 12 and features more than 143 sessions and workshops with experts and delegates from over 150 countries.

Saudi Leadership’s Commitment to Pilgrims

Prince Saud bin Mishaal, Deputy Emir of Makkah, opened the conference on behalf of King Salman and reaffirmed the Kingdom’s historical and ongoing commitment to serving the Two Holy Mosques and their visitors. He praised the coordination among government agencies that delivered a highly organized Hajj season in 2025.

Hajj as a Journey of Faith and Unity

Prince Faisal bin Salman emphasized Hajj’s role in unifying the Muslim Ummah and announced the launch of the History of Hajj and the Two Holy Mosques Forum, which aims to document the pilgrimage’s development from pre-Islamic times through the Saudi era.

Advancing Hajj Services Aligned with Vision 2030

Minister Tawfiq Al-Rabiah stated that the success reflects strong leadership support and meticulous year-round planning. Preparations for the next Hajj season began immediately after the previous one. Contracts covering more than 60% of pilgrims have been completed, while the Ministry of Tourism reported over 70% readiness of hotels and residences in key locations.

Technology, Culture, and the Nusuk App

Al-Rabiah highlighted that the Nusuk app now boasts over 40 million users globally and has launched a new AI-driven feature called “Nusuk AI” to enhance the pilgrim experience. Additionally, 71 historical and cultural sites in Makkah and Madinah were developed and visited by more than 3 million people, achieving satisfaction levels above 95%.

Strengthening Cooperation and Agreements

During the conference, several memoranda of understanding were signed to enhance service quality, technological integration, and operational coordination among stakeholders, further elevating the standards of care and efficiency for pilgrims.
