Saudi Arabia is advancing efforts to create employment opportunities for skilled expatriates.

The Ministry of Human Resources and Social Development has completed the first phase of its "Professional Verification" service, part of the broader "Professional Certification" program.

This initiative spans 128 countries, collaborating with the Ministry of Foreign Affairs through a unified electronic platform, as per Cabinet Resolution No. 195. The goal is to ensure that expatriate workers entering Saudi Arabia possess authentic academic credentials and the necessary practical experience and skills required by the Saudi labor market.

The service targets high-skill professions, verifying academic qualifications against standards like the Unified Saudi Classification of Professions and the Unified Saudi Classification of Educational Levels and Specialties.

It utilizes an automated process for quick verification via the unified platform.

The Ministry is moving forward with its "Professional Verification" implementation plan, aiming to include 160 countries and cover all professions, including engineering and healthcare, in close coordination with relevant government bodies.

The "Professional Verification" initiative helps prevent unqualified expatriates from entering the labor market, improving the accuracy of qualifications and skills data for expatriate workers. The Ministry aims to regulate the labor market, improve job quality and services, and boost overall productivity through this service.
