The security spokesman of the Ministry of Interior, Lt. Col. Talal Al-Shalhoub , explained the reasons for re-tightening health precautions in the city of Jeddah for 15 days (to prevent corona virus)

According to the Ministry of the Interior, it was decided, based on the health assessment submitted by the competent health authorities after reviewing the epidemiological situation and the high occupancy rates in the intensive care departments due to critical cases, to re-tighten the precautionary measures in the city of Jeddah, starting for 15 days.

Al-Shalhoub called on everyone to stick by the precautionary measures, whether by wearing a mask or covering the nose and mouth, and committing to physical distance, In order not to increase health precautions in any other city or province.

The precautionary measures will start in the city of Jeddah on Saturday 14 Shawwal 1441 AH corresponding to 6 June 2020, until the end of Saturday 28 Shawwal 1441 AH corresponding to June 20 2020.

- The Health Ministry spokesperson Dr. Muhammad Al-Abdali said that the precautionary measures were returned to Jeddah because of the presence of critical cases, He said there are factors that made us tighten the procedures for Jeddah but not Riyadh, The number of critical cases relative to the number of infections and the increasing speed of critical cases in addition to the element of capacity to absorb, all this is monitored accordingly these measures are taken.
