Saudi Arabia's Public Prosecution stated that four Saudi citizens have been accused of forging official documents as a result of investigations by the Public Prosecution Office for crimes that affect public confidence.
According to the Public Prosecution, the investigation procedures revealed that the above-mentioned individuals forged documents without origin, including incorrect facts in order to illegally seize the property of others and assign them to a public authority, one of the Kingdom's embassies abroad.
Prosecutors said the accused were arrested and referred to the competent court where they demanded the penalties prescribed by law, and the verdict was issued, which included conviction for what was allotted to them, imprisonment for 20 years, fines of 400,000 riyals, and the return of their property.
Assaulting official documents by forgery is one of the major issues that warrant arrest and strict criminal accountability when it comes to protecting government transactions from misconduct.
A person of natural or legal capacity may be harmed by the forgery of paper or electronic documents, seals, marks, or stamps.
