Over 20,000 visitors on different types of visit visas have been penalized for Hajj violations in Makkah by Saudi Arabian authorities. The Kingdom's regulations prohibit staying in Makkah during the Hajj season for those on visit visas.
Hajj Regulations for Visit Visa Holders
Public security officials in Saudi Arabia have clarified that visit visa holders are not allowed to perform the Hajj pilgrimage. They strongly advise anyone planning to visit the Kingdom on a visit visa to avoid going to or staying in Makkah between May 23, 2024, and June 21, 2024.
Ensuring Security for Pilgrims
To ensure the security of permitted Hajj pilgrims during their rituals, authorities have emphasized that violators will face punishments according to the Kingdom's rules. This move aligns with the Ministry of Interior's security and organizational plans to protect approved pilgrims and facilitate their religious rites.
Penalties for Unauthorized Entry
From June 2 to June 20, Saudi nationals, expats, and foreign nationals will face fines of SR10,000 per violation for entering Makkah without a Hajj permit, as recently announced by the ministry.
