New Consul General of Pakistan Khalid Majid on Thursday  held a meeting  with the local Pakistani and  Saudi Press and Publications representatives first time after assuming  charge of his assignment along with Deputy Consul General Shaiq Ahmed Bhutto at the Consulate General Pakistan Jeddah.

During this meeting the consul general exchange the views about enhancing the relationship with the Pakistani journalists in Jeddah and for further coordination to this effect, in the light of various social and welfare issues.

He said that the journalists can play key role to raise the issues as they are the voice of the community.

He said I came to Jeddah only 3 weeks before and I have started my work today. So it was very important for me to meet you to serve the community as a team work.
He stressed on the journalists to play their role in highlighting the strategic relationship between Pakistan and Saudi Arabia and enhancing the bilateral relations between to two Islamic brotherly country.

Khalid Majid said, our intention  should be to serve our country and  our community better.

Thanks God that I have the opportunity to work in Jeddah. Here, we have  a chance to work as well as worship at the Two Holy Mosques Makkah and Madinah, he added.

He said that Jeddah is a very important station and diplomatically this comes in four major stations in the world

The Consul General said that my doors are open to all. The journalists community can  contact me directly to resolve community issues. I will fully support them it they come-up with constructive suggestions.

At the end the members of journalist forum welcome him and congratulated him for being the new Consul General of Pakistan in Jeddah.”They wishing good luck and best wishes for him.
