The National Center of Meteorology (NCM) has confirmed that this year's summer season will come to an astronomical end on September 22, marking the transition to the autumn season. As temperatures gradually decrease in the upcoming days across most regions of Saudi Arabia, the approaching autumn is anticipated to bring along a rainy period.

Hussain Al-Qahtani, the spokesperson of NCM, shared insights with Okaz/Saudi Gazette, highlighting the temperature shifts and the onset of the rainy season. Throughout this summer, various cities and governorates in Saudi Arabia experienced soaring temperatures, with the highest recorded temperature of 52 degrees Celsius in the Al-Ahsa governorate of the Eastern Province on July 18.

Additionally, Al-Qahtani unveiled that the committee responsible for formulating terms and conditions related to the executive regulations of the Meteorological Law has successfully concluded its work. The NCM is now gearing up to announce these regulations, which will encompass the issuance of permits, licenses, and penalties for violations.
