According to Saudi Arabia's Oversight and Anti-Corruption Authority (Nazaha), 171 employees were investigated, and 48 had been arrested according to Saudi criminal procedure laws.

According to Naazaha, a number of criminal and administrative cases were initiated during the month of Dhul-Qadah 1443 AH, as indicated by its announcement.

During its monitoring rounds, the Authority conducted 4,672 investigations, which resulted in a number of defendants being investigated and some being arrested on charges such as abuse of power, bribery, money laundering, and forgery.

Nazaha has learned during the arrest process that the arrested persons belong to a number of ministries, including the Ministry of Health, the Ministry of Education and Municipal and Rural Affairs and Housing, as well as the Zakat, Tax and Customs Authority.

After investigation, some of the arrested were released, according to the Commission.

In order to protect public money and prevent it from being wasted, Naazaha offers citizens and residents the opportunity to report suspicions of financial or administrative corruption through the authority's official communication means.
