Abdul Rahman Shams, Undersecretary of the Ministry of Hajj and Umrah Affairs in Saudi Arabia, gave good news to those who wish to perform Umrah from outside the Kingdom.

In an interview, Abdul Rahman stated that it had been decided to make Umrah available to people with Tourist visas, Commercial visas, Work visas, or other visas of the Kingdom.

This decision is in line with Saudi Vision 2030, which aims to reach 30 million pilgrims annually by 2030.

Dr. Sari Asiri, the Director General of the General Department of Hajj and Umrah at the Ministry of Health, provides pilgrims with a number of health guidelines.

According to Asiri, pilgrims abroad with chronic diseases and the elderly should consult their physicians before traveling.

It is essential to consider the adherence to the vaccinations and vaccines recommended for everyone, such as the vaccination against Corona, influenza, and meningitis.

Asiri stressed the importance of assessing the health status of pilgrims coming from abroad with chronic diseases, carrying the necessary medicines for them and monitoring their health while visiting Makkah and Madina.

Saudi Arabia has prepared practical measures to enable pilgrims from 49 countries to perform Umrah. Those with tourist visas can now perform Umrah during their stay in the Kingdom.

In addition, the new regulations allow tourists to obtain a 12-month tourist visa upon arrival at Kingdom airports without having to apply beforehand.
