Saudi Arabia will suspend international flights for two weeks from Sunday to slow down the spread of the coronavirus, the Ministry of Interior announced on Saturday March 14th.
Can I return to Saudi Arabia Now?

Who Can Travel to Saudi Arabia Right Now?
Ans - Saudi Arabia's Ministry of Interior decision gives a 72-hour period for Saudi citizens and those with valid residency of Saudi Arabia from the new travel ban list countries (mentioned below) to return to the kingdom, before the travel suspension decision becomes effective.
However, The suspension's decision excluded health practitioners working in the Kingdom of the citizens of the Philippines and India, and evacuation, shipping and trade trips, while taking the necessary precautions reported Saudi Press Agency.
- The decision indicated that the Ministry of Interior and Ministry of Health may coordinate to deal with humanitarian and exceptional cases, without prejudice to the necessary precautionary and preventive measures.
The kingdom's government decided to temporarily suspend the travel of citizens and expatriates and suspend flights to 59 countries,as well as suspend the entry of those coming from those countries, and the entry of those who were there during the 14 days prior to their arrival.
Emirates and Etihad will operate special services to and from Saudi Arabia during the kingdom's temporary suspension of flights. Authorities in Saudi Arabia announced this week that they were temporarily closing the kingdom's borders to flights from 39 countries, including the UAE.
Under a special dispensation from authorities in Saudi Arabia, Emirates will operate three daily flights to Riyadh, Jeddah and Dammam from March 12 to March 15. From March 11, Etihad will also fly one service per day from Abu Dhabi to Riyadh, Jeddah and Dammam.
These flights will give Saudi travellers a way to return home.
Only Saudi nationals will be allowed to travel on the Emirates flights from Dubai to Jeddah and Dammam. The flight to Riyadh will be open to Saudi nationals and travellers holding permits for the G20 Summit. Return flights from the three Saudi airports will only be open to non-Saudi nationals.
Etihad's flights to the kingdom will only be open to Saudi nationals but return flights will not be restricted. Etihad has suspended all flights between Abu Dhabi and Medina until further notice.
