For the first time since its opened, King Fahd Causeway, A bridge between Saudi Arabia and Bahrain has no travelers during Eid Al Fitr, due to the ongoing precautionary measures in order to curb the Corona virus pandemic in all countries of the world.
King Fahd Causeway was opened to public in 1986, Since the number of travelers travels daily through this route to Bahrain from Saudi Arabia or Saudi Arabia to Bahrain. During Eid holidays the numbers are usually large.
- Last year (2019), During Eid Al Fitr King Fahd Causeway has witnessed and recorded higher number of travelers. But this year 2020, The Saudi Arabia and Bahrain bridge is completely empty with no travelers because of the closure of the borders between two countries in light of the precautionary measures to combat with corona virus pandemic.
