There is an exhibition located south of the Prophet's Mosque on an area of 2,200 square meters that presents the history of the architecture of the Prophet's Mosque from its first construction by the Prophet (peace be upon him) - and his companions - may Allah Almighty be pleased with them.

There are records of the first expansion in the 7th year of Hijrah, as well as of historical expansions in the era of the Rightly Guided Caliphs - may Allah Almighty be pleased with them - and of the successor states until the historic expansions of the first, second and third Saudi states.

This exhibition focuses largely on the Saudi expansion from the era of late King Abdulaziz and his righteous sons after him such as late Saud, Faisal, Khalid, Fahd, and Abdullah to the prosperous and auspicious era of King Salman, who is the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques, as well as the great care that is being provided to visitors and worshippers at the Prophet's Mosque right now.
