The Saudi authorities thwarted attempts to smuggle a large number of drugs and unauthorized medicines over the past 12 months.
Customs officers foiled smuggling operations and confiscated 77 million amphetamine pills and other drugs at the cross-border points.
The officers also thwarted many attempts to smuggle more than 1.5 million unlicensed medicines as well as fake Saudi riyals and US dollars currency, according to Sabq.
