Over 20,000 American Muslims have performed the Haj this year.

"There was not a single complaint or any negative remark from anyone of them regarding the services provided by the Saudi government," Jeffrey Willi, cultural attache at the US consulate in Jeddah, said.

Willi described the Haj season as extremely successful. "This was the most successful season as we have touched on the real ground," he added.

Willi said excellent arrangements and consummate services may entice the pilgrims to perform the Haj next year too.

He said though the American mission in Jeddah has opened the communications links with the American pilgrims 24/7, it did not receive any complaint or negative remark about the arrangements or the services.

Willi believes that responsibility of educating pilgrims about correct methods of performing Haj rituals lies on the shoulders of Haj companies.

"The gathering of millions of pilgrims in the holy sites is a great event in itself and has drawn the attention of the entire world to these spots," he said.

“Pilgrims come from all over the world in different color, race and they speak different languages but they are tied together by Islam," he said.

Willi said the Haj was the largest cultural gathering in the world and appreciated the efforts of the Saudi government to make the Haj a pleasurable event.

He was talking at a special function held by the Tawafa Establishment for the pilgrims from Turkey, Europe and America at its new headquarters in Makkah.

Th function was attended by a number of the heads of the Haj missions, consulates and other concerned officials.

Meanwhile a number of pilgrims have documented their Haj memoirs in photos and selfies in the Jeddah Corniche after completing their Haj.

Many of them came to Jeddah to enjoy its beautiful shores. They also visited Al-Rahma Mosque on the Corniche.
