The General Directorate of Border Guards issues a stern caution to land trip enthusiasts, hikers, and truffle seekers, both citizens and expatriates, urging them to avoid approaching border areas.
Emphasizing the significance of compliance, the directive underscores that trespassing into prohibited land border areas beyond 20 kilometers may result in severe penalties as outlined in the Border Security Law and its executive regulations. Offenders may face imprisonment for a maximum of 30 months, a fine of up to SR25,000, or a combination of both penalties.
It is crucial to heed the regulations and instructions in place to prevent approaching these restricted areas for the safety and security of all involved.
