According to the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, Saudi citizens can now obtain personal visit visas to bring in their friends and acquaintances living abroad.

The visa holders will be allowed to travel throughout the Kingdom, as well as perform Umrah, visit the Prophet's Mosque in Madinah, and visit religious and historical sites.

Visa applications are made easier and simpler through the eVisa platform on the ministry's website: https://visa.mofa.gov.sa.

Through the ministry's eVisa platform, Saudi citizens can invite friends and acquaintances to visit Saudi Arabia and perform Umrah. The personal visit visa request can be submitted through the Individual Service section of the eVisa platform and logging in through the Nafadh unified national platform and filling out the necessary data for those to be invited by requesting a personal visit, and approving the necessary undertakings. A 'personal visit visa document' will be issued, containing the data of the request, which can be viewed through the invitation request query service.

In accordance with the ministry's instructions, those who are invited to visit must pay fees and medical insurance after they complete the visa application form. Once the application and passport have been submitted, they must be submitted to the Saudi Arabian embassy or consulate in the guest country, or to one of the embassy or consulate's accredited centers or offices. After obtaining the entry visa stamped on their passport, they can enter the Kingdom through all air, land, and sea ports.

This step comes within the framework of efforts to increase the number of foreign visitors in line with the objectives of the Kingdom’s Vision 2030, the ministry noted, adding that inquiries can be made about the submitted applications by entering the visa platform, selecting the inquiry icon, filling out the required information, and then clicking on the inquiry icon to know the status of the applications previously submitted.
