The Saudi-led Coalition to Support Legitimacy in Yemen announced Saturday that three experts in booby-trapping and launching boats from Yemen's Saleef port had been killed.
On Twitter, the Saudi Press Agency reported that the Coalition targeted four booby-trapped boats at the port and prevented an imminent attack on oil tankers.
The Coalition confirmed that Houthi militias had been given three hours to withdraw their weapons from Hodeidah port, Saleef port, and Sanaa airport. According to the Coalition, Houthi militias attack Saudi oil installations from firmly secured sites.
Early Saturday, the Coalition announced the beginning of a military operation to neutralize threats to oil facilities and energy security.
Airstrikes targeting "threatening agents" are taking place in Sanaa and Hodeidah, according to the coalition.
For the military operation, the Coalition cited the protection of global energy sources, indicating that it would target hostile agents directly while avoiding civilians and oil facilities.
It added that it has exercised self-restraint in response to the recurring attacks by Houthi militia on oil facilities, saying that the military operation is in its early stages and will continue until the mission is completed.
Yemeni civilians in Hodeidah governorate were urged not to go near oil facilities by the Coalition.
