This week, the King Abdulaziz and His Companions Foundation for Giftedness and Creativity (Mawhiba) is hosting a workshop for 181 outstanding Saudi students enrolled in its "Excellence Program." The focus is on preparing these students for prestigious world-class universities by providing intensive training for the standardized SAT test.
. Training Collaboration: Mawhiba partners with a specialized American consulting company for the workshop.
. SAT Preparation: Students receive advanced skills training, including test-taking strategies for optimal performance.
. Foreign Scholarship Program: The program aims to send qualified students to renowned American universities like Harvard, Princeton, Cornell, MIT, and others in the top 30 globally.
. Program Duration: The one-year training program begins in the second year of secondary school and continues until admission to the international university, utilizing a blend of in-person and distance learning.
Enrollment Criteria for Excellence Program:
. Second-year secondary school students eligible.
. Minimum scores on SAT, TOEFL iBT, and IELTS - Academic tests.
. Minimum grades in the third intermediate year and first secondary year, with a focus on science subjects, computer, and English language.
. Successful completion of a personal interview.
Comprehensive Support Services:
. Workshop on university application procedures, essay writing, and extracurricular activities.
. Four counseling sessions for performance tracking, support, and guidance.
. Assistance in completing application forms and meeting admission requirements.
Program Impact: Since 2016, 1,108 students have participated, with 648 applying to top international universities, including 550 successfully accepted into high-ranking institutions.
