Saudi HR Ministry Fines 222 Employers And Suspends 36 Recruitment Office Licenses For Violations
Category: Saudi Arabia

The Ministry of Human Resources and Social Development (MHRSD) in Saudi Arabia has imposed penalties on 222 employers for violations related to domestic workers. These violations include selling domestic worker services to external parties, allowing workers to operate independently, and assigning them tasks that were not agreed upon in advance.

Violations and Penalties Imposed on Employers

Due to the serious nature of these violations, the Ministry fined the employers and revoked their recruitment rights. The penalties reflect the Ministry's commitment to upholding labor laws and protecting the rights of workers and employers.

Suspension of Recruitment Office Licenses

The Ministry has also taken action against 36 recruitment offices. The licenses of 25 offices were suspended for failing to adhere to recruitment rules, such as resolving employer complaints or returning client funds. Additionally, 11 recruitment offices had their licenses permanently revoked due to repeated violations and failure to meet performance standards.

Efforts to Enhance the Recruitment Sector

These enforcement actions are part of a larger initiative to regulate the recruitment industry in Saudi Arabia. The Ministry aims to ensure compliance with labor regulations and promote the development of the sector through the Musaned platform. The platform is designed to protect employer rights, streamline recruitment processes, and provide high-quality services to all stakeholders.

Reporting Violations

The Ministry encourages anyone who suspects misconduct in the recruitment sector to report their concerns. Complaints can be submitted via the Musaned hotline at "920002866" or through the Musaned app.
