Next fall, the National Center for Meteorology (NCM) forecasts likely weather conditions in Saudi Arabia.
NCM predicted an above-average temperature increase in the Northern region of Saudi Arabia, which includes Tabuk, Al-Jawf, and the Northern Border Province.
In Jazan, Asir, and Najran, temperatures are expected to drop below average. Other regions of the Kingdom will experience average temperatures. These regions may also experience rainfall.
In September, the Red Sea coastal areas as well as the highlands, including Tabuk, Madinah, Makkah, Al-Baha, Asir Najran and Jazan, will experience higher rainfall than normal.
The NCM forecasts extreme weather conditions in the fall, including heavy rains.
Weather agency officials pointed out that heavy rains are not always predicted by long-term climate models, but can be predicted by short-term forecasts.
