A vibrant entertainment calendar is set to kick off this week in Saudi Arabia, encompassing 16 cities that are at the forefront of the kingdom's booming entertainment industry. The eagerly awaited "Kingdom's Tour 2023" will span Riyadh, Dammam, the Northern Borders, Hafr Al Batin, Tabuk, H'ail, Al Qassim, Al Ihsa, Al Kharj, Wadi Al Dawasir, Jeddah, Taif, Al Namas, Al Baha, Jizan, and Abha.

Turki Al Alsheikh, the head of the General Entertainment Authority (GEA), shared the exciting news on Twitter, stating, "16 different cities around the kingdom where we'll live the best times with the Kingdom's Tour 2023." A promotional video showcasing the upcoming events accompanied the announcement.

The "Kingdom's Tour 2023" will commence in Riyadh on Thursday with the Arabic play "Set to Take Off." The tour's second stop will be in Abha on Friday, featuring a concert by the talented Saudi singer Asil Abu Bakr. On May 28, Jeddah will host a concert by the popular Egyptian pop singer Sherine.

This summer entertainment extravaganza, running from May to September, will also include captivating concerts by renowned artists such as Mohammad Abdu, Rabeh Saqer, Asala, and Khaled Abdulrahman. Additionally, a series of theatrical works starring leading actors from the Arab world will be showcased.

In recent years, Saudi Arabia has made significant efforts to boost its entertainment industry, hosting a range of concerts, cinema screenings, theatrical shows, and competitions that have attracted large audiences from both within and outside the kingdom. The establishment of the General Entertainment Authority in May 2016 further supported these endeavors, facilitating numerous exceptional concerts, stage shows, and festivals.

In April 2018, Saudi Arabia achieved another milestone by reopening cinemas for the first time in nearly four decades. Since 2019, approximately 120 million people have attended entertainment events staged in Saudi Arabia, as the kingdom actively seeks to diversify its economy, reducing its reliance on oil.
