In accordance with Article (69) of the Traffic Law, Saudi Arabia's General Directorate of Traffic (Moroor) has announced the penalties for violating drifting.
For the first time, Saudi Moroor said that the vehicle would be seized for 15 days and fined 20,000 riyals, and then referred to the competent court for consideration of prison sentences. According to Moroor, rented and stolen vehicles are exempt from seizure penalties.
For the second offense, the fine will be doubled and the vehicle will be seized for a month, as well as 40,000 riyals in fines, and the violator will be referred to the competent court for a prison term.
- Saudi Moroor added that repeating the act for the third time will result in a vehicle seizure and fine of 60,000 riyals on the violator, then he will be referred to the competent court for consideration of seizure of the vehicle or fine him to pay the same value for the rented or stolen vehicle and then imprison the violator.
According to the Traffic department of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, rented and stolen vehicles are not subject to the two penalties of seizure and confiscation mentioned in this article.
