Saudi Arabia has secured the second position in the global cybersecurity index, according to the Global Competitiveness Yearbook Report for 2023 released by the International Institute for Management Development (IMD)'s Global Competitiveness Center in Switzerland. The report aims to evaluate and rank countries based on their ability to create and sustain an environment conducive to competitiveness.

The National Cybersecurity Authority has attributed this achievement to the unwavering support and empowerment provided by the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques and the Crown Prince to the cybersecurity sector. It also reflects the continuous development and growth of the sector within the Kingdom, alongside the efforts of the Authority to enhance and strengthen it.

Several initiatives have played a crucial role in Saudi Arabia's success, including the launch of the National Portal for Cybersecurity Services, known as "Haseen." This platform offers innovative cyber services and solutions while promoting the development of national talent and improving their competitiveness on both local and global scales. By prioritizing the empowerment of business owners and innovators in the cybersecurity field, implementing regulations to enhance cybersecurity, and fulfilling national commitments, Saudi Arabia has further bolstered its position.

The Kingdom's outstanding ranking in the global cybersecurity index, as recognized by the United Nations, solidifies its leadership in international cybersecurity indicators. This achievement aligns with previous assessments by various international indicators in the same domain. It underscores Saudi Arabia's active engagement in this dynamic industry and sets the trajectory for its future growth and influence, both domestically and globally.
